# Game Mechanics - Special Elements

This section contains rules governing any special elements.

#### Exalted

1. Exalted is an advanced element that is enabled for a player as long as that player has a champion that enables another advanced element.
2. A card that is Exalted is of the Exalted element in addition to any of its other elements.
3. To play an Exalted card, a player must have the Exalted element enabled in addition to any other element requirements of that card.
4. Exalted element cards are typically represented by an ornate frame in addition to the typical element-style frame of a card.

#### Norm

1. Norm is non-basic and non-advanced element that is enabled for all players by default at all times.
